Our work applies to three of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 14 Life Below Water, and SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production. Click on the images below to find out more about these goals, and read below for how our work addresses each goal.
Ensure access to water and sanitation for all.
By helping to remove microplastics from water, we are providing cleaner, safer water for all people. Not only do we minimize consumption of plastics, but we reduce exposure to the associated chemicals that build up on microplastics.
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas, and marine resources.
By preventing the release of microplastics into oceans and other bodies of water, we are protecting these resources and the creatures that live within them. We all depend on oceans to survive - for water, food, and its ability to regulate our atmosphere.
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
By using biodegradable, sustainably sourced materials, we ensure responsible production. By communicating microplastic content of consumer products, we minimize human exposure to these contaminants and the adverse health effects.
